In the middle of the cultural and commercial centre (at 50 m from the Vrijdagsmarkt) you will find the "Ghent River Hotel".
Just a few steps from Kouter, Korenmarkt, Veldstraat, the courthouse, museums, opera and the historic city (including St Bavo's Abbey, St Peter's Abbey and the Belfry).
Thanks to its central location between Brussels, Antwerp and Bruges, Ghent is the ideal starting point for organising your city visits.
Easy to an underground parking or P+R
The digital signs that today direct car drivers in Ghent lead them to free underground parking, are being replaced by 50 new, smarter models. Thanks to real-time info, drivers can decide which parking lot to drive to, or opt for a P+R. This way we avoid traffic jams in the city center. New zones and approach routes
The current system with zones and parking numbers will disappear. The 4 parking zones on the map will take their place map: Korenmarkt zone, Vrijdagmarkt Friday Market, South Reep zone, and Field Street zone. More information In addition to the occupancy of parking garages in the center, the new signs will also provide information about the P+Rs. Visitors still outside the city ring road, will thus have the option of parking outside the center parking. Thanks to the flexibility of the new screens, the signs can also better respond to the current situation: major works and events will also be able to be communicated.
